Dear Dr. Morris:

Enclosed are three (3) signed originals and eighty-seven (87) confomed copies of Amendment No. 9 to Consumers Power Company's application for a construction permit and operating license for Units 1 and 2 of the proposed Midland Plant.

Amendnent No. 9 includes additienal infomation in response to your verbal requests therefor made on February 26, 1970 en various items, including two identified by you as " major items"--hydrology (identified also in your letter to Mr. R. D. Allen of the se=e date) and slope stability. Also included are emendments to information concerning control roca design previously submitted by Amendment No.C(2/9/70)totheapplication.

Copies of f.mendment No. 9 have also been sent to Mr. Jerone Maslovski, Assistant Attomey Genaral for the State of Michigen; Mr. Frank Olds, Chaiman of the County Board of Supervisors of Midland County, Michigan; Mr. Robert B. Chatterton, Supervisor of Midland Township, Midland County, Michigan; and Mr. Julius Blasy, Mayor of the City of Midland, Michigan. Certificates of service on Mr. Olds and Mr. Chatterton are also enclosed.
