Dear Mr. Price:
Reguiaisr3 m Cp In my letter of April 22, 1971, we said that the Arkansas Nuclear One -
Unit 1 Environmental Report would be transmitted to the Atomic Energ Commission on May 14, 1971.
At the present ti2ne, we are preparing responses to comments received from various federal agencies on the Unit 2 Environmental Report and are expecting to receive additional comments from two more federal agencies within the next few days.
We are also in the process of obtaining a water quality certification as required under Section 21(b) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act for Unit 1 and expect this certification within the next few weeks.
In view of the above developments oad in order to make the Unit 1 Environmental Report as responsive and as up-to-date as possible, we have decided that it would be best to delay the submission of this report

until approximately June 4, 1971.
