I have been advised by the Louisiana Power and Light Company that the NRC is considering shutting down nuclear units with Babcock & Wilcocx reactors.
One of these would be the Arkansas Nuclear One of the Middle South Utilities System.
I would appreciate knowing if this is indeed beit.;
considered and the reasoning behind it.
During your delibera ions, I would request that you take into considera-tion the impact such a shut down would have on the entire system, as indicated in the enclosed telegram.
