Dear Sirs:

As a conservationist, I have been working closely with the Arkansas Power and Light Company in their proposed plans to build the Russellville Nuclear Unit. I have been working with the Arkansas Pollution Commission and groups interested in natural resource conservation.

Therefore, I would like to have permission to make a very brief statement at your public hearing. Houcver, since I have teaching obligations at this University on the day of the hearing, I uould like to request additionally that I be given a' chance to be one of the first speakers in the morning.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

Sincerely yours, m
