Vl UNITED STATES ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION DOCKET No. 50-313 ARKANS E '0WER & LIGHT COMPANY NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF APFL', CATION FOR FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE Please take notice that Arkansas Power and Light Company, Ninth and Louisiana Streets, P. O. Box 551, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203, pursuant to section 104 (b) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), has filed an application, together with a final safety analysis report, by letter dated April 23, 1971, for a license to operate a nuclear power reactor at its site in Pope County, Arkansas.
The nuclear power reactor is a pressurized water reactor, designated by the applicant as Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1, designed for operation at 2568 thermal megawatts with a gross electrical out-put of 880 megawatts.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Commission's Public Document Room 1717 H Street N. W.,
Washington, D.
C., and at the Arkansas River Valley Regional Library, Dardanelle, Arkansas 72834, Mrs. Robert Keathly, Librarian.
