In response to your letter of May 10, 1978, and to document discussions with your Mr.
G.
Vissing on July 25, 1978, the following is provjded.
As you are aware, we are currently developing a long term modification to alleviate the postulated ECCS small break problem defined in our letter of April 14, 1978, to Region IV Office of Inspection and Enforcement.
Since our long term modification could potentially have some effect on the setting and/or operation of the HPI isolation valves, we will reply to your above letter after a final long term modification has been approved by the staff and we have completed our engineering.
