Gentlemen:
Your letter of June 28, 1978, requested certain schedule information pertaining to the permanent solution of the electrical equipment rooms problem discussed in our meeting with your staff on September 13, 1977.
Our responses follow.
Procurement of critical path items (i.e., qualified cooling equipment) was begun in late Fall, 1977.
The order for this equipment was placed in February, 1978, and the expected delivery date is presently September, 1978.
The proposed plant modifications to incorporate our permanent solution are being discussed and reviewed in detail. We expect to complete our review and submit details of the proposed modifications to you in October, 1978.
While some modifications associated with the permanent fix have begun, we expect to begin installation of equipment by October, 1978, and complete installation during the 1979 refueling outage, as a plant shutdown is required to complete the work.
