AMENDMENT NO. 40 TO APPLICATION FOR LICENSE Arkansas Power & Light Company, Applicant in the above captioned proceeding, hereby files Amendment No. 40 to its Application for License.

This Amendment No. 40 amends the Final Safety Analysis Report and the. Application by furnishing revisions to the technical specifications including the effects of potential fuel densification, by revising the interlock scheme on the fuel handling crane to avoid the problems associ-ated with mechanical interlocks, and by correcting previous miscellaneous errors and omissions. 1 WHEREF0P.E, Applicant requests the license specified in its original
