Gentlemen:

On July 5,1977, we submitted a proposed technical specification change which would allow the deletion of sodium thiosulphate from our Reactor Building Spr y System. Subsequent to that submittal a need has been identified to establish a band of operating limits for the NaOH tank and Borated Water Storage Tank level and concentration. We have attached a proposed change which accomplishes that. The only change to the analysis submitted on June 17, 1977, is the final pH values. A graph of the pH range for the limiting case is also attached. We request your approval by mid-January 1978 so that the change may be implemented during our upcoming refueling shutdown.
