Director of duelear Reactor Regulation f;GC Attn:
Mr. D. L. Ziemann, Chief Operating 'leactors Branch #2 Division of Reactor Licensing U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C.
20555
Subject:
Arkansas Power & Light Company Arkansas Nuclear One-Unit 1 Docket No. 50-313 License No. DPR-51 Proposed Technical Specification Changes Gentlemen:
Your letter of November 6,1975 indicated that insufficient safety analysis was included in our letter of October 7,1975 to facilitate your review of the requested change to the specification concerning the Reactor Building Spray System tanks level and chemical concentra-tion limits.
By this letter we transmit to you a copy of Babcock 6 Wilcox's calculation which was used as the basis for this proposed change.
It should be noted that we have altered some of the levels and chemical concentrations slightly from those presented in the calculation to aid the plant operators; i.e., we have centered the nominal value within the specified ranges so that the range on both sides of the nominal value will be equal.
In some cases this has decreased the range suggested in the B5W calculation and in no case was the range expanded.
Therefore,
the limits are still conservative. The values as they appear in the pro-posed specification and in the calculation are as follows for comparison.

Certain information contained in the enclosed calculation is proprietary and pursuant to Section 2.790, 10CFR Part 2, it is requested that this infomation be withheld from publie disclosure.
Also, in accordance with 10CFR Section 2.790(b) it is recognized that withholding this in-fomation from public inspection shall not effect the right, if any, of persons properly and directly concerned to inspect this information.
Bis calculation has been classified proprietary as certain information contained herein is not found in literature and use by a competitor would substantially decrease his expenditures, in time and resources, in per-forming a similar. design calculation.
