This letter is written to supply further information to our letter of May 25,1973, which reported the results of our investigation of an CN incident which occurred during hydro-testing of the reactor building

spray system on March 27, 1973, and was subsequently identified to Regu-

latory Operations, Region II, as required by 10 CFR 50.55(e).
During a routine inspection by M. S. Kidd on June 12-15, 1973, we we were asked to provide assurance that other piping received from Kellogg has not been subjected to heat and pounding with a ball peen hammer. Our Architect-Engineer has provided us with documentation from the piping vendor, which indicates that this process for repair of the piping was performed without the vendor's consent and that the pipe spool in question was the only location which was subjected to this procedure.
