Description of Occurrence:
s During routine fish impingement monitoring 2/10/75, using procedure 1607.10, Monitoring Fish Impinged on ANO-1 Intake Screens,10,085 pounds of fish were collected during two 8-h'our sample periods. Fish impinged on the intake screens between 8:00 a.m. and'4:00 p.m. 2/9/75 totaled
~z 8085 pounds and fish impinged on the intake screens between 12:00 a.m.
and 8:00 a.m. 2/10/75 totaled 2000 pounds. The projected fish kill for the 24-hour period beginning at 8:00 a.m. 2/9/75 and ending at 8:00 a.m.
2/10/75 was 15,128 pounds based on an hourly average of the two 8-hour sampics. A mixture of gizzard and threadfin shad made up 99.9% of the total weight of fish. Other fish made up 0.1% of the total weight.
Threadfin shad made up 95% of.the total number of shad. Temperatures taken at 8:00 a.m. 2/10/75 were:
intake water temperature - 43*F, and ambient air temperature - 22*F.

mentioned fish from the lake, The fish that were collected were dis-posed of through land fill op'eration. The fish that were not collected were disposed of through the trash di'sposal system.

- 10. Correctivo Action:
Long term studies are in progress to determine the effects of plant oFeration of the aquatic ecosystems of the Dardanelle Reservoir.
Data from this report and other data obtained is fed back into these studies to determine whatchanges might be made to the studies in order to ensure that adequate data is obtained for evaluating plant impact.
Review by Arkansas Power 6 Light Company and its consultants of the e
results of these studies will determine what corrective action might be taken to reduce plant effects on the Reservoir.
