Thank you for your referral to the AEC of a letter fron :fra. Lillian Griager concerning construction of the Davis-Besse nuclear power plant at Port Clinton, Ohio.
The regulatory staff of the Cocaission (AEC) has completed its safety evaluation of the application to construct and operate this facility.
A separate review was made by the Advisory Cormittee on Reactor Safeguards. A contested public hearing to consider the application is currently underway in the Ohio National Guard Armory,135 West Perry Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, I an enclosing a copy of the Notice of !! earing which provides more specifics of possible interest to Mrs. Crieger.

Detailed Statement on the Environmental Considerations prepared by the regulatory staff pursuant to the provisions of the National Environ-mental Policy Act of 1969.
Copies of the statement have been furnished to the Council on Environmental Quality and appropriate Federal, State and local agencies and will accompany the application through the Comission's review process, incitaling the public hearing.
The enclosed booklet, " Licensing of Power Reactors", describes the Commaission's licensing procedures.
