SAND BEACH OAK HAREOR, OMIO 43440 To Whom It May Concern:
Re:
The proposed Davis-3 esse Power Station.
Environmental Report pa6e A-9 The report states,ie: " Along the Erie beaches cost of the people have drinking water trucked in froc either Ca': Harbor, Port Clinton, Toledo or a state roadside park on Route #2 about three miles west of the site.
Some have shallou dug wells out under the lake fren which they get water tested satisfactory for potable use.
Approx--
inately 5 to lo percent of the people drink this lake water."
The true facts as researched show that of the 102 home owners cen-tacted 50% of them use their water for all purpoces.
Anotaer 255 une their well water for everything except drinking and another 255 have their entire water supply hauled in.
One further cocment on wells:
Of the 24 remanent recidents 20 families une their uells for their entire' cervico', 3 nave drinking unter hauled in and one has all of his water hauled in.
It causes concern in ny tind as to the creditability of the entire report if a minor iten such as this is not reported according to the true facts.
There is one other concern.
In the vinter ue have scue of cur strong-est winds off the lake.
'fith the lai:e frozen over we have little cauce for concern.
Wnen the ice is broken the winda push the ice shoreward.
The first floe of ice is stopped by the sand bars and the rollowing ice rides up over the top or the front line or ice.
Last year we had ice laying up against the trent wall or three cottages.
If the Davis-Secce plant is built and warned unter is cischargea into tne lake at a rate taat vill keep the ialce frcm freezing solid, uno uill be responcible for beach eroclon and ice dana ~e caucca by tao
