ToledoEdisonacknowledgesreceiptofyourMay2(1972letterand enclosure referencing an item of apparent nonconformance with requirements of Davis-Besse specificatior. number 7749-M-190, Revision 2, Part 1.
This item resulted from Mr. R. E. Oller's inspection conducted on May 10 - 12, 1972 at the Grinnell Company plant located in Kernersville, North Carolina.
Following discussion between Toledo Edison and Grinnell, the corrective actions listed below have been instituted by Grinnell:
1.
All original ASME Form NPP-1 Data Reports previously issued by Grinnell have been returned to the Kernersville plant for the incorporation of additional information in conformance with Paragraph NA-8415 of the ASME Section III - 1971 Code.
2.
The above forms were returned and have been received at the Davis-Besse site, with appropriate information properly filled-in and authenticated by the authorized code inspector covering the Grinnell - Kernersville plant.
3.
Grinnell has assured Toledo Edison, in writing, that all future ASME Data Reports will be in strict compliance with Paragraph NA-8415 of the ASME Section III - 1971 Code for Classes I, II and III piping assemblies.
