The meeting was held on October 30, 1989 as specified in the referenced i
meeting n'atice. Enclosure 1 is a list of meeting attendees. A copy of a draft generic letter was av111able in the meeting and prior to the meeting I
(see letter, P. S. Tam to A. Marion of NUMARC dated October 24, available in the Public Document Room).
The staff (lead spokespersons were A. Thadani and F. Rosa) stated that audits were performed by NRC and contractor staffs at six sites, and certain deficiencies were discovered. These defieciencies have been surmarized in the draft generic letter. The attendees discussed the various points of the draft generic letter and NUMARC perunnel agreed to su' ait its connents to NRC on November 6, 1989.
The staff and NUMARC personnel agreed that another meeting is needed to address issues in the draft generic letter. The agreed meeting date is November 8, 1989.
