, to this letter outlines several proposed changes to the i
Facility Operating Licenso Numbers DPR-39 and DPR-48 as defined in Technical Specifications, Appendix A for Zion Nuclear Power Station.
These proposed changes are intended to address the requ'rements of Generic letter (GL) 83-37, by i
incorporating the operating requ'rements of post accident monitoring instrumentation into the existint Technical Specifications.
In addition, some i
minor changes have also been madu to various Tables and their explanatory Notes in order to be consistent with NUREG 0737 terminology. provides a summary description and justification of the J
proposed changes. Attachmen+ 3 provides an evaluation of significant hazards consideration and provides e demonstration that the proposed changes warrant no significant hazards consideration. Attachment 4 to this letter contains the status of GL 83-37, Enclosure 1 Items, anc is provided as a summary of the various post accident monitoring system or in!:trumentation r quirements, and a reference to the Technical Specification which.ini:orporates the requirement.

Therefore, Commonwtalth Edison requests that consideration be given to the assignment of an efdective date for implementation of 90-days after issuance of the proposed 'mendment.
