E DOS 1 HETER PERFORMANCE Enclosed, for_ your information, is a notification we received from ALNOR Nuclear Corp pursuant to 10 CFR 21 regarding prcblems noted with the ALN0R i

Electronic Dosimeter Mocel RAD-85. These RAD-85s were "f ailing blank" at Braidwood. The cause of these failures was traced to the use of walkie-talkies within 10 cm of the dosimeter.

Paragraph 15, on page 5 of the enclosure, lists corrective actions ALNOR is taking to prevent reoccurrence of these failures. A copy of the Operations Manual Supplement (discussed in 15.b) and a listing of RAD-85 users is also enclosed.

e Since.the vendors corrective actions appear to be appropriate, RPB plans no further generic action on this matter. However, you may want to follow-up with your effected licensees to ensure these corrective actions dre properly L,.
