As required by "The Price-Anderson Amendments Act of 1988" each nuclear generating' facility's limit of liability insurance coverage must be increase from $160 million to $200 million effective July 1, 1989.

with these requirements, we hereby submit true copies of American Nuclear L

Insurer (ANI) and Mutual-Atomic Energy Liability Underwriters (MAELU) endorsements (MF-74, Nos. 69 & 70; NF-210 Nos. 80 & 81) as evidence that the

$200 million liability insurance limit has been purchased by Arkansas Power

& Light Company for Arkansas Nuclear One (ANO) Units 1 & 2.

Enclosed also are true copies of Endorsement Numbers 13 and 14 to certificate numbers M-48, N-48, M-68 and N-68:

-Endorsement 13 evidences that the primary financial protection for ANO has been amended to include Facility Worker Form, indicating that the Facility Form and Facility i

Worker Form contain limits of $160 million each and were effective January 1, 1988. The Facility Form limits are r

shared by AN0-1 and AN0-2, while the Facility Worker Form l

limits are shared by all nuclear energy liability insureds.

-Endorsement 14 evidences that the primary protection for ANO has been amended to show that the limits of liability have been increased to $200 million, as respects the Facility Form and the Facility Worker Form, effective July 1,1989.

i It is agreed that:

1.

The limit of the con.panies' liability stated in Item 4 of the declarations as amended by the Increase of Limit of Liability Endorsement (s) listed below is further amended to read $ 45,000,000.00

but in the event that any payments have heretofore been made by the. companies for loss or expense covered by the policy, each of those limits of liability including the limit of liability as amended by this endorsement is reduced in accordance with Condition 3 of the policy by the total amount of those payments, except to the extent that any such reduced limit of liability may have been previously restored in accordance with a Restoration of Limit of Liability Endorsement.

The increase in the limit of liability provided by this endorsement applies 4

only with respect to obligations assumed or expenses incurred because of bodily injury or property damage caused, during the period from the effective date of this endorsement to the date of termination of the policy, by the nuclear energy hazard.
