REORGANIZATION OF THE DIVISION OF RADIATION SAFETY AND SAFEGUAADS I
This letter is to inform you of a recent reorganization within the Division of l
Radiation Safety and Safeguards.
The Material Control and Accountability Section within the Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards Branch has been combined with the Physical Security Section.
The new section will be called the Safeguards i
Section so as to reflect the expanded program functions and mission.
The Nuclear Material Safety Section and Radiation Safety Projects Section remain unchanged by j
this action.
An organizational chart depicting the new organization is provided l
in the Enclosure.
Further, as you will note by the Enclosure, T. R. Decker has been assigned as the l
Section Chief of the Radiological Effluents and Chemistry Section in the
[
Emergency Preparedness and Radiological Protection Branch.
His replacement as Section Chief of the Radiation Safety Projects Section is E. J. McAlpine.
Mr. McAlpine was the Section Chief of the forner Material Control and i
Accountability Section. The effective date of these actions was August 8, 1989.
