Dear Sir:
The purpose of this letter is to transmit the enclosed proprietary information regarding 6 ankee Atomic-Electric Company (YAEC) Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) analyses
' methodology fer the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station.
As the result of a meeting between representatives of YAEC and NRC Staff personnel at j
NRC offices in White Flint on September 7,1989, followed by a telephone conference conducted between the same on September 18,1989, YAEC agreed to provide the enclosed copies of previously transmitted LOCA-related documentation, to facilitate the NRC review effort.
Also enclosed is a summary of both the work performed by YAEC and the prior NRC Staff I
review of YAEC methods for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) LOCA analyses. We request that these documents be reviewed in accordance with the schedule discussed in the above conference.
The enclosed information has been extracted from previous submittals [ References (b) i
- through (f)], and is considered proprietary. In accordance with 10CFR2.790(b)(1), an affidavit attesting to the proprietary nature of the enclosures is attached, j
