Dear Mr. Vought:
On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I am submitting a report, in accordance with section 3(b )(2) of "Public Law 115-336, 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act" (21st Century IDEA), which lists key NRC Web sites and digital services that have been prioritized for modernization.
The enclosed report presents the NRC Web sites or digital services most viewed by the public, prioritizes Web sites or digital services that require modernization, and estimates the cost and schedule of completing these efforts.
While the NRC's public Web sites are in varying degrees of compliance, work is actively underway to ensure that the NRC's most utilized public site, https://www.nrc.gov, is fully compliant with the eight criteria established by the 21st Century IDEA. The NRC will complete this project no later than December 2020. Based on the results of this project, the NRC will direct resources to bring the remaining sites into full compliance. The NRC will also ensure, that any new or redesigned Web site, Web-based form, Web-based application, or other digital service intended for public use meets the requirements established in the 21st Century IDEA.
