Dear Mr. Rooney:
l Enclosed is a letter from General Electric Company requesting the following t
amendments to its Export License XSNM01645 for the export of reload fuel for i
the Nucienor power reactor in Spain:
- 1) extend the expiration date from
[
31 December 1989 to 31 December 1996; 2) add Carbones Comercio Y Consignaciones, S.A., Avda Fernandex Ladredt, 9, 11006 Cadiz, Spain, as an additional intermediate consignee; 3) increase the quantity of material authorized for export by an additional 73,000 kilograms of uranium containing
}
2,500 kilograms U-235; and 4) increase the maximum enrichment from 4% to 5%.
A letter of assurance is required that the additional material, the increased enrichment, and the new intermediate consignee will be subject to all the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation.
