Dear Mr. Keppler:

Reference (a) transmitted I.E. Bulletin No. 79-28, "Possible Malfunction of NAMCO Model EA180 Limit Switches At Elevated Temperatures," which requested Commonwealth Edison Company to take certain action at its Byron and Braidwcod Stations.

Therefore, Commonwealth Edison has instructed the Construction Departments at both the Byron and Braidwood sites to the to replace the cover gaskets at the time they terminate cables switches. 'Since, under the program described above, the gaskets will be replaced when the switch is terminated, all switch gaskets on a particular system will now be changed prior to pre-operational testing of that system in lieu of May 31, 1980, as indicated in Reference (b).
