Dear Mr. Chairman:

In accordance with the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, as amended, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) hereby submits its quarterly report to Congress on the.. amber of full-time permanent employees hired and promoted between October 1 and December 31, 1979.

During that period,' the NRC did not make any changes to the procedures followed in preparing job descriptions, informing potential applicants, and selec-tions at grade GS-ll and above.

Moreover, there were no significant actions to report on the steps taken during the quarter to promote the NRC EE0 program.
