Dear Mr. Jaisle:

Subject:

Appointment of Regional State Liaison Officer William B. Menezer has been appointed as the Regional State Liaison i

Mr. Menczer will keep you informed of incidents, the status of inspec-tion and enforcement activities, and other matters of significance in your state.

l As interest and involvement by state and local governments in nuclear matters has greatly increased over the years, the NRC recognized the need for full time personnel to coordinate such involvement. Accordingly, j

a Regional State Liaison Officer has been assigned to each of the five (5)
