Abstract #46 Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company Re:

Philip Ripton D/O:

July 1, 1978 to August 13, 1978

Dear Mr. Saltzman:

We have received a notice of a claim being presented by Philip Ripton who was employed by Salter Corporation at the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company facility from July 1, 1978 to August 13, 1978.

Mr. Ripton believes he may have been contaminated by breathing radioactive material when the air hose to his face mask became separa-ted from the mask.

We have initiated an investigation of this case and have advised Mr. Ripton's attorney, Harrison J. Gordon, Esq.,

25 Valley Road, Montclair, New Jersey, that we would ad-vise him of our position as soon as we completed our in-vestigation.

Very truly yours,
