MOTION FOR TIME EXTENSION TO FILE PROPOSED FINDINGS OF FACT AND CONCLUSIONS OF LAW In accordance with the schedulo established by the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Licensing Board) the NRC Staff's proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law in this proceeding are due on June 9, 1980.

Due to other assignments and the complex nature of this case, Staff Counsel will be unable to complete t!.e proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law by June 9, 1980.
In order to properly address this matter, Staff Counsel believes that it will require until June 17, 1980.
Staff Counsel contacted representatives of Duke Power Company and Carolina Environmental Group Study Group, parties to this proceeding, and the State of South Carolina j
participating in this proceeding pursuant to 10 CFR 12.715. These representatives stated that they had no objection to the Staff's request for a time extension.
Counsel for the Natural Resources Defense Council could not be reached.

. For the reasons stated.above, the NRC Staff moves.the Licensing Board to extend the time for filing of the Staff's proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law in this proceeding to June 17, 1980.
