REPORT OF TEXAS UTILITIES COMPANIES - APRIL, 1980, Pursuant to the direction of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board ring the Special Prehearing Conference on June 21, 1978 (Tr. 124-125) in South Texas, and during the conference in Comanche Peak and South Texas on December 5, 1978 (Tr. 79-90), the Texas Utilities Company System ("TU")

submits this report on discovery during the month of April, i

1980. i During the menth of April, counsel for TU participated in the depositions of Crs. Norman C. Lerner and Gordon Taylor, 1 b the expert economic witnesses of, respectively, the NRC Staff and  ;

the Department of Justice. TU acceded to proposals that the depositions of Messrs. Frame, Gerber, Hartley, Mayben, Scarth, Simmons, and Stagg be postponed due to the involvement of certain counsel in extensive settlement negotiations.

. On April 1, 1980, TU received the NRC's Updated Response to HL&P's Second Set of Interrogatories and TU's First Set of Interrogatories. On April 16th, TU inspected documents made available by the Staff!s designated expert engineering witness. .
