WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION FOR EARLY SITE REVIEW Potomac Electric Power Company has notified the Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation that it is withdraw-ing its application for an early site review of the Douglas Point Nuclear Generating Station. Load growth forecasts con-tinue to indicate that there is little possibility that the Company will commence construction of a generation facility at Douglas Point within the validity period of any early site review findings.

Accordingly, it would be appropriate for the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board to issue an order terminat-ing this proceeding.

Respectfully submitted, SHAW, PI MAN, POTTS & OWBRIDGE By h M .p W G Edge F. Trowbridge  !
