REQUESTS FOR HEARING ON ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE ISSUED TO DAIRYLNiD POWER COOPERATIVE (LACROSSE BOILING WATER REACTOR)
On February 25, 1980, I issued an Order to Show Cause to Dairyland Power Coopera-tive concerning potential liquefaction of soils at the site of the Lacrosse Boiling Water Reactor in Genoa, Wisconsin.
Anne Morse for the Coulee Region Energy Coalition and Frederick M. Olsen, III of Lacrosse, Wisconsin, have both requested a hearing on the February 25th Order.
Copies of the requests are attached to this memorandum.
i On March 25, 1980, Dairyland Power Cooperative submitted the " Licensee s Answer to Order to Show Cause" which contained a contingent request for a hearing "[1]n the event that the staff does not consider this answer...to constitute sufficient cause for not undertaking the steps outlined in the Show Cause Order...."
The licensee submitted revisions to its answer on April 3,1980. Copies of the licensee's filings are enclosed.
The str.ff is evaluating the licensee's answer to the Order and has requested tMt the linnsee pro /ide additional information concerning the answer (see attached letter of April 25, 1980 from D. Ziemann, NRR, to F. Linder, Dairyland Power Cooperative).
Since tkre have been requests for a hearing on the Order to Show Cause, these requests tre referred to the Commission.
