Dear Mr. Trimble:

With the 7.7 million dollar facility that is presently being built and with the hiring of a librarian on those premises, I believe that the public would be better serviced by having.~hc Nuclear Documents Collection, nov housed at Arkansas Iech, t,'ansferred to this area.

The collection is difficult, if not impossible, for us to service.

I cite the lack of indexing and the lack of profes-sional service to this collection.

In addition, ve have not had the personnel necessary to provide profeccional time to the indexing and general collection maintenance. Suitable shelving space is becomming limited in this library and we have been unable to satisfy the users of this collection in many instances.

If you vill please send me an address or come by and transfer these materials we vould appreciate it. We have done our best to service this collection and to furnish the manpower but seen to have met with little success due to financial causes and lack of staff.

Sincerely, 6

W. A. Vaughn, Library Director WAV:mf R U S S E L L V I L L E, A R K A N S A S + 7 2 8 01
