I am honored that you ask that I be one of the key note speakers at the Montevideo Conference on the Utilization of Small and Medium Size Nuclear Power Reactors in Latin America (May 12-15, 1980).
I will be very pleased to participate and would hope to provide an overview of nuclear power prospects in the United States as seen from my perspective one year after TMI. I would hope also to make some comments on the U.S. technical assistance program in the nuclear power field. If this is satisfactory, I will plan on remarks along these lines.
