Dear Mr. MacDonald:
I request a change in Certificate of Compliance Number 6400, revision 8, Docket Number 71-6400. The certificate specifies, in four instances in section 5. (b)(1)(iv), the use of PVC bagging material in the preparation of plutonium waste.
I am unabic to identify a supplier of PVC bagging material of the thickness required, however, other plastic materials are available.
Changing the term "PVC" to " plastic" would alleviate this problem with no reduction in safety.
Please change the term "PVC" to " plastic" in the following locations:
5(b)(1)(iv), paragraph 3, first line.
