OF APRIL 1 TO 3,1980 lEETItlGS REGARDING HADDAM NECK AND MILLSTONE EMERGENCY PLANS On April 1, 2 and 3,1980 a series of meetings were held to review and discuss the revised emergency plans for the Haddam Neck Plant and therMtlistone Nuclear Power Station. Joint meetings were held because of the geographic proximity of the two facilities and because both are managed by Northeast Utilities Service Company, which prepared both plans. A list of attendees is attached, i
but everyone listed did not necessarily attend all meetings.
Four distinct meetings were held.
I Tuesday April 1, 1980 A fact finding and data collection tour of Millstone 8:00 Ali - 12:00 PM Unit Nos.1 and 2 was conducted and the following areas were reviewed:
(1) Overview of the site concept of emergency operations, (2) Site emergency facilities, (3) Emergency action limit instrumentation, (4) Dose projection methods, (5), Communications facilities.
Tuesday April 1, 1980 A fact finding and data collection tour of the Haddam 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Neck Plant was conducted.
Wednesday April 2, 1980 Meetings were held with. licensees to discuss NRC 1:30 AM - 5:00 PM requirements and the results of a preliminary and emergency plan review. These were technical business meetings between the NRC staff and members of Thursday April 3,1980 Northeast Utilities Service Company Staff which were 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM open for public observation but not for public

participation.

, May 7,1980 Thursday April 3, 1980 An open discussion was held with members of the 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM public to determine their views on the state of emergency preparedness in the area and to identify any local features or situations which might present special problems.
As a result of this series of meetings, the licensees committed to a review of their current emergency plans in light of NRC observations and comments.
