BOMB THREAT r On May 6,1980, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a bomb threat was received by the desk officer at the Yellow Creek construction site.

An unidentified woman, speaking In a calm voice, stated that a bomb would go off at the site in two hours. The woman did not furnish any further information. The licensee notified the Tishomingo Sheriff Dep u tueut who responded and patrolled the area 'during the two hour period.

The licensee conducted a search of the plant site with negative results.

Construction is 12'l'. complete on 11ait 1 and 3% on Unit 2.

No l

fuel was on site.

There has been no rwedia interest. A news release is not planned by the licensee

.,or the NRC. The State of Mississippi has been notified. The IAT was notified.

This Preliminary Notification is issued for information only and no further action by IE ', anticipated.

Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the licensee at 11:00 a.m. on May 7,1980.
