DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 RESPONSE TO IE BULLETIN NO.79-01B ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION OF CLASS IE EQUIPMENT POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 As requested in IE Bulletin 79-OlB, we are providing documentation of the environmental qualification of the equipment items on our " master list" of electrical equipment.
A revised master list of Class IE electrical equipment required to function during postulated accidents is provided in Enclosure 1.
This satisfies the requirements of Action Item One of the Bulletin.
The environmental qualification data, or plans for obtaining the required data, are detailed on the system component evaluation worksheets provided in Enclosure 2.
This fulfills the requirements of Action Items Two and Five of the Bulletin.
The service condi-tion profiles for design basis accidents and for the equipment qualification tests, requested in Action Item Three of the Bulletin, are provided in Enclosure 3.
The evaluation of equipment qualification against the guidelines presented in Enclosure 4 of the Bulletin and the development of a detailed " Equipment Qualification Plan" requested in Action Item Four are continuing.
The results of these evaluations and the " Equipment Qualification Plan" will be completed as soon as possible.
A status report on our evaluations will be submitted within 90 days of the date of this letter.
