Dear Mrs. Walsh:
I am writing in reference to your letter to me of May 5,1980.
Your letter appears to be a response to the "NRC Staff Answer to Petition for Leave to Intervene Filed By Elaine J. Walsh", which was filed on April 18,1980.
NRC regulations do not provide for responses to an answer to a petition for leave to intervene. The NRC Staff's position concerning your petition is as stated in its Answer referred to above.
As you are aware, your petition is pending before the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board established to rule on petitions for leave to intervene and requests for hearings in this pro-ceeding. A determination whether to grant or deny your petition will be made by the Licensing Board.
It does not appear that your letter was served on the Licensing Board and other parties in this procec Hng a.: required by 10 CFR 52.701(b).
In order to insure that the Licensing Board and the other parties receive copies of your letter, I am taking the liberty of providing the Licensing Board and other parties with copies of your letter by means of an enclosure to this letter.
