Dear Mr. Fidell:
This is in response to your letter dated April 25, 1980, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Informaton Act, a copy of Chairman Ahearne's memorandum d5ted fiarch 21, 1980, concerning the investigation at Three Mile Island, and any related documents.
A copy of the requested memorandum is enclosed.
The related docu'ments are:
(1) letter dated March 21, 1980, from Chairman Ahearne to Congressman Udall, (2) addendum to the letter, and (3) memorandum dated March 4,1980, from Messrs. Rogovin and Frampton of the Special Inquiry Group to Chairman Ahearne. These documents have already been made available for public inspection and copying at the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20555. The charge for reproducing records located in the PDR is eight cents ($0.08) per page, as specified in 10 CFR 9.14(a).
Copies of these documents can be purchased by writing directly to the PDR.
Inasmuch as these related docume:its total 90 pages, the cost of reproducing these pages is $7.20.
Upor. your agreement to pay the reproduction charges, the PDR will arrange for the records to be reproduced by Potomac Research, Inc., a private reproduction contractor servicing the PDR.
