Dear Dr. Snyder:
This is in reply to your letter of April 21, 1980, to R. Max Mills, Assistant Vice President, soliciting comments on NRC's " Environmental Assessment for Decontamination of the Three Mile Island Unit 2 Reactor Building Atmosphere" (NUREG-0662), and two addenda.
Since Mr. Mills no longer occupies the position of Assistant Vice President, and I was the designated single point of contact for the Telephone Company during the crisis last year, I am replying in his stead.
While I appreciate the opportunity to review the Assessment documert, I do not believe that we in the Telephone Company are technically qualified to comment on the discussions or recommendations it contains.
Let me assure you, however, that as in the past, and with due consideration for the health and safety of our people, we stand ready to satisfy your communications needs as expeditiously as possible.
