MARBLE HILL QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM In my letter of April 1,1980, I requested consolidation of the Marble Hill quality assurance program description into a single document.

In addition.

I enclosed a request for additional information.

During our meeting of April 11, 1980, we reviewed a draft of your proposed consolidated report and ycur responses to our April 1st questions. As a result of our meeting, we determined that additional information should be incorporated into the consolidated report.

Therefore, a second request for additional information is enclosed.

Marble Hill QA Pro. gram Request for Additional Information 1.

Within the QA program, identify those structures, systems, and components under the control of the QA progren or reference a particular section of the PSAR where this subject is addressed.

2.

In Section 1.2.8 of the QA program, expand on the responsibility and meeting frequency of the Quality Assurance Review Committee.

3.

In Section 1.2.3 of the QA program, identify those regulatory guides and ANSI standards including revision number and/or date to which PSI will comply for the Marble Hill project. The response should include the extent PSI will comply with Regulatory Guide 1.94, Rev. 1 and Regulatory Guide 1.116, Rev. 0-R.

4.

Describe those QA controls which assure that computer codes will be approved for each particular use.

5.

In Section 1.7.1 of the QA program, describe in more detail the involvement of the QA organization in the verification of suppliers' activities.

6.

In Section 1.10.1 of the QA program, describe in more detail those QA controls which assure that inspection and test procedures, instructions, or check lists specify the necessary measuring and testing accura".y requirements.

7.

In Section 1.12(g) of the QA program, describe the organization responsible for establishing,, implementing, and assuring effectiveness of the calibration program and describe the involvement of the QA organization in this area.

8.

In Section 1.9 of the QA program, describe. in more detail the criteria for deter-mining those special processes that are controlled under the QA program.

9.

In Section 1.17 of the QA program, identify and describe the organizational responsibilities for the definition and implementation of activities related to QA records.

10.

In Section 1.13 of the Quality Assurance program, identify or clarify the reporting relationship of the Quality Assurance Organization Group.

11.

Within the QA program, describe in more detail both in description form and through organizational charts, those organizations responsible for establishing and implementing the QA program.

Particular attention should be given to the QA organization addressing each department within the QA organization.

The PSI organ-izational information addressed in Section IIF of the March 6,1980 submittal to 4

H. Denton and in Section~ III C1.b.i of the February 28, 1980 submittal to V. Stello should be consolidated and incorporated into the QA program.

12. Within the appropriate sections of the QA program, consolidate the following QA controls which appear in the PSI February 28, 1980 submittal to V. Stello:

Clarify which revisions of the Westinghouse and Sargent and Lundy Quality Assurance Programs will be used for the Marble Hill fluclear_ Station. This description should be identified in the Marble Hill PSAR Quality Assurance Program and Table of Contents.

14.

Clarify that PSI Project Management Procedures are approved by the Marble Hill Quality Assurance organization.

15.

In your consolidated QA program description, identify by a solid vertical bar all those changes from the previously approved QA program in the PSAR since Amendment 18, May 1977.
