Dear Mr. Vasser:

This is in response to your undated letter concerning the proposed Westinghouse fuel fabrication plant near Prattville, Alabama.

Questions Nos. I cnd 2 in your letter, concerning the siting alternatives for the proposed plant, will be addressed in the Draft Environmental With respect to Question No. 3, the NRC Impact Statement (DEIS).

Regional Office of Inspection and Enforcement normally conducts routine inspections to ensure ccmpliance to the license at a facility such as the proposed Westinghour,. plant.

The environmental impact from routine plant operation, as well as various types of accidents, will also be discussed in the DEIS (Questions 5 thru 8).

Since you have expressed an interest, we will add your name to the distri-bution list for the DEIS.
