Arkansas Nuclear One-Unit 1 Docket No. 50-313 License No. DPR-51
Subject:
IE Bulletin 79-14 (File: 1510)
Gentlemen:
By letter dated November 27, 1979, you were informed that following pipe stress analysir, of AN0-1 " accessible piping" per IE Bulletin 79-14, re-analysis of pipe support loads revealed some loads to be in excess of those shown on the support drawings. Although ar. initial engineering evaluation revealed no inoperable supports, we committed to provide you with the results of more extensive analytic evaluations by February 9, 1980.
A recent outage of ANO-1, however, has provided us the opportunity to work on normally inaccessible piping.
Due to these efforts the evaluation of support loads for accessible piping has not been completed.
ANO-1 has been returned to service and analytical work on accessible piping support loads is now in progress. We plan to provide you with the results of this analysis by April 10, 1980. The results of required analysis for inacces-sible piping will also be provided by this date as stated in our letter of January 7, 1980.
Very truly yours,
&$f David C. Trimble Manager, Licensing DCT:DRH:nak cc: Mr. W. D. Johnson U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Post Office Box 2090 Russellville, Arkansas 72801 MEMBEA MeOOLE SOUTH UTTUTIES SYSTEM
