Dear Sir:

Lower Pottsgrove Township is located within one-half mile of the Limerick Nuclear Power Plant presently under construction.

As a member of the board of commissioners, I have been given the task of gathering information concerning our responsibilities once the power plant becomes operational.

Our concern centers on our desire to protect and advise our citizens in the following areas:

1. Ordinances which should be considered.
2. Emergency planning.
3. Radiation detection.
4. Hazardous material transportation regulations.
5. Federal assistance and guidance.
6. Environmental protection.

Needless to say, we would like to be informed and ready once the plant becomes operational.

We would appreciate any information which, in your opinion, will assist us in carrying out our responsibilities.

Sincerely,

,bY Roy W. Cubbler
