Operating License Nos. DPR-50 and DPR-73 Docket Nos. 50-289 and 50-320 QA of Diesel Generator Fuel Oil This response is submitted to supplement our responses of April 11, 1980 (TLL 164).
Metropolitan Edison is implementing a quality assurance program for fuel oil to administratively control internally the fuel used to make up to the Diesel Generator Fuel Oil Storage Tanks for each unit. The make up fuel oil will be sampled for specific or API gravity, water and sediment,and viscosity, i7 The results of these analyses will be reviewed by Quality Control inspectors to be acceptable prior to making up to the Diesel Generator Fuel Oil Storage Tanks.
This " limited scope" QA program is expected to be fully implemented by September 1, 1980.
