Docket No. 50-133 License No. DPR-7

Dear Mr. Engelken:

This is our response to your letter dated Novem-ber 30, 1979, which transmitted IE Bulletin No. 79-27 con-cerning loss of power during operation.

The Bulletin re-quested the owner of each plant to review and evaluate each electrical bus supplying power to safety related and non-safety related instrumentation and control systems which could affect the ability to achieve a cold shutdown condition and to propose design modifications, new or revised emergency procedures and/or administrative procedures based on the con-clusions of the review.

The plant is presently in the cold shutdown mode and must remain there until resolution of the seismic issue.

Accordingly, the review will be completed following that time and revised or new procedures issued and any necessary modifications completed prior to returning to power operation.

r truly yours,

[
