WPPSS NUCLEAR PROJECT NOS.1 & 4 IE BULLETIN 79-25, " FAILURES OF WESTING-HOUSE BFD RELAYS IN SAFETY-RELATED SYSTEM 3"

Dear Mr. Engelken:

The following is a response to the subject IE Bulletin:

At the present, WNP-1/4 is neither using nor intending to use BFD relays in their design. UE&C,the Architect Engineer for the projects,is completing a review to see if any Class IE contracts contain Westinghouse ~BFD relays. Completion of the review is scheduled for the end of February 1980. ,
