Enclosed please find a letter from Edlow Internationa' Company requesting that the expiration date on license XB001016, cover' the export of 800,000 curies of tritium gas to Switzerland, be extended to ty 1, 1983, Before taking action on this license amendment, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspec-tive of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested license amendment would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the common defense and security, and whether the proposed export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act of 1978.
