Nuclear Regulatory Commission 1717 H Street, N.W..
Washington, D.C.
Attention: Mr. Ilarold R. Denton Nuclear Reactor Regulation Office
Dear Mr. Denton:
,When an oil tanker collided with another ship in Galvestion Bay resulting in the loss of at least 34 lives and an untold loss of property, huge environ-mental damage to the beaches and marine life, no one even hinted that oil tankers should be halted or controlled.
When an oil well blows out with the attending damage and pollution, no one even thinks of stopping the drilling for oil.
When propane trucks or railroad tank cars turn over and cause injuries, expensive evacuations of hundreds (even thousands) of people, sometimes for days, it is not even su[gested that the shipment of propane should be stopped or regulated. This also applies to other danerouse chemicals.
But, when the Three Mile Island accident occurred with financial loss to the owner company, no injury to any person or to the environment, it is immediately decreed that all nuclear plants will be banned - construction halted forth with, licenses revoked or withheld regardless of the safety precautions taken by the owner companies.
The saving of oil imported from irrational foreign countries by operating these nuclear plants seems to mean nothing at all to our "all wise governmental bodies".

Please try to use what our Grandparents referred to as " Common Horse Sensd and quit kissing the of the oil rich countries that hate us.
