Comments on TMI-2 Reactor Building Purge Program Safety Analysis

At your request I looked at this document.
I have no particular comment except to say that I agree with conclusion
- 5 on p 47, that purge should be via the vent stack, with meteorological control.
I assume this report is being reviewed for accuracy by NRC staff; I didn't try to check any of the numbers.
However as a gross check on the feasibility of such a proposition it should be noted that Kr-85 releases of the re-quired order do occur.
Monthly Kr releases for Savannah River of up to about 90,000 Ci dra tahnlated in the paper by Telegadas, Ferber, Heffter, and Draxler, Atmospheric Environment, 12, page 1769. see Table 1.
The problem at TMI-2 in contrast with Savannah River, is of course the nearby population.
Is the ACRS on the subcommittee going to review this?
